Item of the day for May 2, 2009

This was really tough. All of our artists have such beautiful and wonderful items in their studios and I didnlt want to use something of mine. I really couldn't decide, so I picked two items that intrigue, inspire and generally WOW me.

The first is a set of gift tags made by our friend, The Spotted Sparrow. I love these because they express the source of all of our creative forces.

The next item I like is by Alibalijewellry. It is a crocheted wire bracelet. This intrigues me because although I crochet anything and everything with all types of threads and yarns--even strips of fabric-- I can't begin to imagine crocheting with wire of any kind, much less the expensive sterling silver that I use in my own jewelry designs. This is truly and amazing piece.
